General Disassembly Guide

IMPORTANT Please Read!

Please don't forget safety and unplug your unit while servicing!

first

Remove head-shell and secure and lock the tone-arm.

Remove the top plate by using your two fore fingers or index fingers.  It should be easy to remove.
Sometimes, with second hand turntables.  Gunk or even glue can be found from the previous owner that may make it more difficult to pull off!

Remove the (5) screws that hold the black plastic protector (photo middle) and remove as shown (right).

two

Disconnect the 3 cable sockets:

"C202" for the Pitch Slider PCB, "C209" for the 33-45 Strobe PCB and , "DP122 Lamp" for the PopUp.

two

Before placing the turntable upside as shown below.  It must be centrally supported by a circular object underneath it at center where the tone arm is located.

The turntable should be 'floating' above your workspace.

Such objects as a storage bin or circular plastic bucket, make great balanced supports you can find around the house.

Remove (4) Stand-Off feet by turning counter-clockwise.  Do NOT PULL feet out, they turn and unscrew off!

Green section shows (4) Longest screws, which are located underneath the stand-off feet removed in previous photo.
Yellow section (6) Medium screws.
Orange section (12) Small screws (8 outside rim, 4 inner rim).

The leads for 'phono' (left) and 'power' (right) must exit the rubber base.
The rubber base is rather heavy and requires both hands to pull up and off the metal frame of the turntable.
Be sure that the leads are loose to freely exit as lifting up the base.

Open view. Pitch slider (left), PopUp Lamp assembly (middle) and 33-45 strobe [on-off] (right).

Gently slide out the cabling from the insertion holes for each of the 3 units for replacement.
